v4.1.1:
- Update check now checks for an internet connection before trying to run.
- Prompter documents save the background color.
- Other internal improvements.
v4.1:
- New mouse prompting controls: Prompter speed can be adjusted in prompt mode by simply moving the mouse (or trackpad) up or down. Turn on "Use mouse to adjust speed" in the Presentation preferences if you want this.
- Prompter optimizations: Smoother prompting at higher speeds and more responsive speed changing controls.
- Prompt mode fixes: Fixes issues with mirrored monitors, next/previous bookmark jumping, and invert text colors.
- Improved Dock support: Added a dock menu, better behaviors for minimized prompter windows, and the application dock icon changes to reflect prompt mode status.
- Fast user switching support: Prompter pauses on logout and resumes on login.
- Menu additions: Added menu items to do things previously possible only with toolbar buttons or hotkeys. Added Save Window Size menu item.
- Other minor fixes and improvements: Possible to move the arrowline by using the scrollwheel, preferences window remembers the last selected pane, etc.
v4.0:
- Faster and smaller: All editing and prompting operations have been sped up significantly. Application size is a fraction of the size of older versions.
- Redesigned interface: Uses standard font and color panels. Customizable toolbars. Cleaner window interfaces. Live resizing and scrollwheel support. And as a Mac OS X app should be, everything the application needs is bundled in a single file.
- Better text editing: Open multiple documents at once. Provides spell-checking, find and replace, ruler support for tabs and spacing, and services support.
- Better prompting: A single speed slider controls forward and reverse speeds. More customizable hotkeys. Improved mode system can automatically handle more options for presenters. Users can also disable things like Expose and screensaver corners to ensure fewer errors during sessions.
- Better bookmarks: Easier to modify and move bookmarks. Users can now go to the next or previous bookmark in addition to jumping to a specific bookmark. Bookmarks hide in Prompt mode to avoid distracting the talent.
- Better mirroring: Users with mirror enclosures now have near-instant mirroring features. Things just work.
- Improved file handling: Imports and exports RTF in addition to plain text. MS Word files can also be imported or exported if on OS X 10.3 or later.
- New text markings: Mark errors in scripts and correct them later. No need to stop a rehearsal and fix things right away.
- More preferences: Set the default document style, rates of speed change, text magnification, and other things you want the application to handle automatically.
- Integrated Help: More tooltips to describe features that may be unfamiliar. Help buttons in various dialogs go directly to a help book.
- License code improvements: License code is emailed to new users in the order receipt as soon as the order is processed.
